Nabukit

Privacy Policy

Last updated: 2026.

This Privacy Policy explains what information Nabukit (the "Site") collects, how it is used, and what choices you have about it. By using the Site, you accept the practices described here, together with our Terms of Service.

1. What information we collect

Depending on the Tool you use, Nabukit collects different types of information:

  • Automatic technical information: when you visit the Site, our servers log standard data from any web request (IP address, browser type, the requested URL, date and time) β€” this is needed to deliver pages to you and detect technical issues, not to identify you as a person.
  • Cookies: today we use one essential cookie to remember your preferred language. Once we connect advertising or analytics, we will add cookies for those purposes too β€” see the Cookies section below.
  • Content you process in a Tool: depends on whether the Tool is client-side or server-side. In client-side Tools (Image Compressor, JSON Tools, QR Generator, Merge PDF) your files never leave your browser β€” Nabukit never sees or receives them. In server-side Tools (Video Downloader, AI Summary, URL Shortener), the link or file you submit does pass through our servers so we can process it.
  • Product usage events: we log which Tool you used and data about that action (for example, the platform of a downloaded video, the quality you chose, how many files you merged into a PDF) to understand aggregate behavior on the Site. These events are not tied to your identity β€” there is no account system linking them to a person.

We do not collect special categories of data (health, ethnic origin, religion, political opinions, sexual orientation, etc.) and we do not need them for any Tool.

2. No user accounts

Nabukit offers no registration or login today. We do not collect passwords, do not connect to social networks, and do not keep a profile of who you are. If an account system is introduced in the future, this Policy will be updated before that happens.

3. The URL Shortener: the only Tool that stores data

It is the only Tool that persists information in a real database: it stores the original URL, the generated short code, a click counter, and the expiration date. Free-plan links (the only plan that exists today) expire after 30 days and are deleted automatically, without you needing to request it. We do not associate these links with any identity β€” anyone with the short link can use it, just like any regular link.

4. How we use your information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Deliver the result of the Tool you requested (for example, processing your video, generating your summary, creating your short link).
  • Detect and fix technical issues on the Site.
  • Understand aggregate usage of the Tools (what is used most, what fails most) to improve the product β€” not to profile any particular person.
  • Prevent abuse (for example, automated usage that overloads a Tool).
  • Comply with legal obligations when applicable.

5. How we share your information

We do not sell your personal information. We only share it in these cases:

  • Infrastructure providers: hosting, database and cloud services needed to operate the Site (for example, for the URL Shortener).
  • Advertising and analytics, once connected: today no Google AdSense or Google Analytics/Tag Manager account is connected to the Site β€” if one is connected in the future, those providers may receive aggregate usage data (never your identity, because we do not have it) under their own privacy policies.
  • Legal requirements: if a competent authority requests it under the law, or to protect the rights, safety or property of Nabukit or third parties.
  • Change of ownership: if Nabukit is acquired or merges with another company, information could be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to this same Policy.

6. Cookies

Categories of cookies we use or may use:

  • Necessary: today, only the one that remembers your preferred language. The Site does not work correctly without it.
  • Analytics: not active yet β€” would be used to understand aggregate usage of the Site (for example, via Google Analytics) once we connect a real Google Tag Manager container.
  • Advertising: not active yet β€” would be used to show and measure ads (for example, via Google AdSense) once we have an advertising account connected.

You can accept or decline non-essential cookies from the Site's cookie banner, and you can delete or block cookies at any time from your browser settings β€” although blocking the language cookie may prevent the Site from remembering your preference between visits.

7. Security and data retention

We protect the information we handle with reasonable security measures (for example, HTTPS connections). No transmission over the internet is 100% secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. We retain each piece of data only as long as necessary for the purpose it was collected for: URL Shortener links are deleted automatically after 30 days; content processed by server-side Tools is not stored beyond completing your request.

8. Children

The Site is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them. If you are a parent or guardian and believe a minor in your care provided us with information, contact us at info@nabukit.io so we can remove it.

9. Your rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, correct, delete or obtain a copy of the information we hold about you, as well as to object to its use or withdraw consent. Since Nabukit does not require accounts and stores very little identifiable data, in practice this mainly applies to a link you created with the URL Shortener β€” write to us at info@nabukit.io and we will handle it.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this Policy when our data practices change. Changes take effect once posted on this same page; if they are significant, we will indicate it visibly on the Site.
